CLIENT OVERVIEW: Daniel P. Stiff, the President of Leadership, Performance, Development, Inc., (LPD) is a corporately known leader, trainer, manager, and negotiator. He has 24 years of experience in the modern business climate in Selling, Leadership, Negotiating and Training with clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses. From his vast years as a corporate trainer and brand selling specialist, Mr. Stiff decided to write and publish a book entitled, “Sell the Brand First”. The book shares Dan Stiff proven Brand Staircase Method, a four step process that shows you how to hone in on your customers' mind-sets, create sales pitches based on how your brand fits into your consumers' lifestyles, and fully satisfy the trade buyers' needs and expectations.
CHALLENGE:LPD wanted to more fully incorporate the book’s methodology into the company’s national sales training programs. The company saw the benefits of providing its clients with fun and engaging learning reinforcement tools which would be designed for participants who had completed Sell the Brand First training workshops. LPD also wanted to promote the book online.
SOLUTION:We developed a two part web solution for Dan Stiff and LPD – A private website and a public website. Both sites were given a similar look and feel.
The private section of SelltheBrandFirst.com was designed for prior participants of Sell the Brand First training workshops. This e-learning section has a number of highly creative interactive components including: Flash training processes modules, Flash quizzes with results tracking, an online voice recorder for practicing telling company brand stories, a matching animated moving elevator which times the length of the saved sales pitch, online and downloadable Podcasts and articles, and a Brand Forum shout box – which is a combination of a chat room and an instant messaging system.
The public site primarily was used to effectively promote the book, “Sell the Brand First”. This section consisted of an interactive Flash flip book, rebroadcast of radio interviews, a listing of major articles and reviews, and an introduction multimedia presentation by Dan Stiff.
RESULTS:Using an integrated marketing communications strategy of public relations and internet marketing the book “Sell the Brand First” was on 800ceoread’s Bestseller List and on March 22, 2007 it reached spot #3 of 800ceoread’s daily top 5. Several major national organizations also signed-up for LPD Reinforcement Online Sales Training (private site) with more companies expected to join. Each organization will have between 100 and 500 registered user.
